Answers to common questions regarding parking citations.
Online payments post within minutes along with cash payments made at the Cashiers Office. Payments made via standard mail can take up to 5 business days to post.
Citations can be paid online, by mail, or in person at the Cashiers Office in Brotman Hall.
Unfortunately, citation extensions are not available at this time.
In the event of a lost Notice of Delinquency, please call the Parking Office at 562.985.4146 in order to receive the specific information regarding your citation.
The amount due is printed on the front of your citation. If your citation is not paid within 21 calendar days from the date of issuance, you may be subject to an additional late fee(s).
The reason for citation will be listed on the printed citation. For additional details, please review the posted campus parking regulations for additional information.
Citation appeals usually take between 1-3 business days to review and process. Please call the Parking Office at 562.985.4146 if it has been longer than 3 days.
If you try to appeal a citation the same day that it was received, an error message may be received stating that your license plate number does not match the citation number. Citations take between 24-48 hours from issue date to be uploaded into our system. Please wait 24 hours and then try your online appeal again.
If you received a Notice of Delinquency in the mail and the vehicle cited is not your vehicle, please contact the Parking Office at 562.985.4146 and we will provide instructions on how to correct this issue.
Include any photos displaying where and how your vehicle was parked, proof of your 色中色 virtual permit, a copy of your DMV-issued disabled placard, or any other documentation that you feel will help your appeal.
To schedule an administrative hearing you must first have had an Initial Review (Level 1 appeal) of your citation. Please review the appeal a citation webpage for more information on our appeal process.
Only one citation may be appealed at a time. If you wish to appeal multiple citations, then please submit a separate appeal for each citation received.
If you are unable to upload your documents/images within your online online, you may email them to parkinggeneral@csulb.edu. Please include your name and citation number in the subject line of your email.
Please call 562.985.4146 or email parkinggeneral@csulb.edu to notify us of this discrepancy and we will process a refund, if needed. Refunds may take up to 6-8 weeks to process.
Please bring a copy of your DMV Registration Renewal form to the Parking Office that lists the citations that are still on hold and we will provide you with a corrective abstract form.
Late fees are assessed to citations that go unpaid, or not paid in full, within 21 calendar days of issuance.
Please contact the Parking Office at 562.985.4146 and we will send the appeal outcome letter again.
