Professional development for teachers to use educational technology in science, engineering, and mathematics instruction; technology and global educational collaborations, societal implications of digital technologies, educational technology and issues of energy and the environment.

Dr. Adams is author or co-author of over 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has given over 70 professional presentations, in North America, Central America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
