2:00 p.m. Grad Slam Viewing Party - (Graduate Studies) Location: University Library, Room 201 (LIB-201)

Come join the announcement of the 2025 É«ÖÐÉ« Grad Slam winners—be among the first to know! The winners’ award-winning 3-minute presentations will be played, and light snacks will be served. This event is a great opportunity to learn about exciting graduate student research taking place at É«ÖÐÉ« and to connect with fellow students who are passionate about research.

4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Symposium - (Office of Undergraduate Research Services) Location: University Student Union (USU) Ballroom A, B, & C

12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Psych Day  Location: Psychology Quad

Our 53rd Annual Psych Day is the largest event the Psychology Department has in the calendar year. This event is open to all students on campus and is advertised as such. Our organization invites over one hundred grad school and internship representatives to come to campus and give our students information on their programs. We also feature a research competition, where psychology students currently involved in research are able to submit abstracts and present posters to a group of judges.

The Green Generation Showcase provides a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate É«ÖÐÉ« students to display and gain recognition for all types of sustainability-related projects from a variety of disciplines. 

9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Empowering Leaders Symposium Location: Anatol Center AS-119

Join us for the Empowering Leaders Symposium, a dynamic event dedicated to uplifting communities impacted by immigration policy. This symposium is a unique platform where students, staff, faculty, and community leaders can showcase their research, gain valuable insights, and develop professionally.
Highlights of the Symposium:

  • Research Presentations: Students will have the opportunity to present their research projects on undocumented, immigration, and mixed-status communities while receiving feedback and engaging in meaningful discussions with peers and experts.
  • Professional Development Workshops: Participants will engage in workshops designed to enhance their skills, from effective communication to advanced research methodologies.
  • Entrepreneurship Sessions: Attendees will learn from successful entrepreneurs about the journey of turning ideas into thriving businesses regardless of immigration status. Discover how you can leverage your research and creativity to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Networking Opportunities: Partakers will connect with fellow students, researchers, and industry professionals. Build a network that supports academic and professional growth regardless of immigration status.

 

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The Autism Research Group  Location: USU Ballrooms A, B, and C

The Interdisciplinary Collaborative for Autism and Neurodiversity (ICAN) annual symposium seeks to provide student education on autism and neurodiversity. The theme of this year's symposium is K-12 services for autism and neurodiversity.

 

12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Center for Latino Community Health Inaugural Student Research Symposium  Location: Graduate Center

Students present research on a variety of topics such as nutrition, fitness, obesity, and prescription stimulant use using data collected from the Center for Latino Health studies and faculty in CHHS.
