The Summer Student Research Assistantship provides financial support during the summer intersession months to undertake full-time research and scholarly activities in collaboration with a É«ÖÐÉ« faculty (or principal investigator) research mentor. Applications are submitted through . 

The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) is a one-year program that offers first- and second-year students the chance to participate in the research and creative process with faculty.

First year transfer students may apply and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at California State University, Long Beach is here to serve all students and help meet their educational goals. We work with students and their families to meet the full demonstrated financial need for students who satisfy all deadlines and eligibility requirements.

Yearly fellowship of $4,500 each semester. Graduate candidates must be nominated by faculty. One fellowship recipient per College, who: i) must be a California resident; and ii) must meet the criteria for financial aid eligibility plus two additional need-based fellowships and two fellowships that may be awarded to candidates not eligible for financial aid (including international students).
