色中色 among top universities in graduating Hispanic students
Cal State Long Beach is among the top institutions in the country for graduating and awarding degrees to Hispanic students, according to The Hispanic Outlook on Education鈥檚 2023
Drawing data from the National Center for Education Statistics for the 2021-2022 academic year, the publication recognized The Beach as No. 6 in the nation for bachelor鈥檚 degrees granted to Hispanic students, No. 13 in master鈥檚 degrees granted and No. 22 by total enrollment of Hispanic students.
The Beach was also recognized nationally as:
- No. 1 in awarding family and consumer sciences degrees
- No. 1 in awarding history degrees
- No. 2 in awarding foreign languages and linguistics degrees
- No. 2 in awarding visual and performing arts degrees
- No. 2 in awarding English literature degrees
A Hispanic-serving Institution, The Beach enrolls over 15,700 Hispanic or Latinx-identifying students, or around 48% of its student body. Last month, 色中色 earned the prestigious 2023 Seal of Excelencia, awarded to a select group of institutions for their commitment serving Latinx students.
Earlier this year, The Beach was ranked No. 1 in the nation for promoting social mobility and recognized as one of the 鈥淏est Colleges in America鈥 by Money.
