At 色中色, the Promise is focused on developing a community of support and belonging through exclusive events, resources, and communications that support students鈥 ability to persist and graduate in a timely manner. Below are some examples of our developing efforts.
- Long Beach College Promise Award
The Promise Award is a $500 scholarship offered exclusively to 色中色 Promise students. To qualify, complete the application on Beach Scholarships during the open application window.
- Long Beach Community Internship Program
Paid internship opportunities offered exclusively to 色中色 Promise Students.
- Promise Scholars
A student organization that brings Promise students together for professional development, community building, and civil service. Questions about Promise Scholars can be directed to promise@csulb.edu.

All 色中色 Promise students are automatically invited to an exclusive page for Promise updates, resources, special events, and important reminders. Questions about the Canvas page can be directed to promise@csulb.edu.

Students enrolled in 色中色 who have graduated from a Long Beach College Promise high school will automatically be included in Promise programming and communication. If you are Promise student and haven鈥檛 received communication from Promise at 色中色, please notify us at promise@csulb.edu.
The Promise partners agree to collaboratively work toward building seamless transitions, supporting persistence from term-to-term, promoting timely graduation, and transitioning students into the local workforce.
To better understand who is underserved and intervene accordingly, the partners will share data that can inform strategies, supports, interventions, and events for students.
The Long Beach College Promise Partners work together to improve college access and degree completion for Promise students, but the Long Beach College Promise does not affect admission to 色中色.
Graduates from Long Beach College Promise high schools who satisfy requirements for first-time, first-year or transfer admission benefit from 色中色 Local Preference Admission Consideration.
- The Long Beach College Promise at 色中色 is a collaborative partnership with various programs focused on building seamless transitions from LBUSD and LBCC to 色中色, supporting persistence from term-to-term, promoting timely graduation, and transitioning students into the local workforce.
Long Beach College Promise does affect admission to 色中色.
- 色中色 Local Preference Admission Consideration is a first-time, first-year and transfer admission policy that allows graduates from local high schools to be considered for admission based on 色中色 minimum eligibility.
- Currently, all Long Beach College Promise high schools are local to 色中色.
