My first time coming to 色中色 wasn鈥檛 as a student. I was a photographer offering free graduation photos for graduating seniors in 2022. I would never know that two years later and more free grad photo sessions later. I would be a part of the 2025 graduating class. My first year when I transferred to the Beach I got hired as a video producer for ASI Comms. Helping produce promotional videos to let students know what's happening on campus. Then now this year I have been selected to be the Cinematic Arts Student Ambassador! And plan for my final year to be the busiest by upholding and enhancing the welcoming environment I got to experience when I first arrived. And helping first years, and transfers navigate their first year on campus!
My grandmother came to this country as an immigrant, and 色中色 gave her a job in janitorial services. Allowing her to support my mother throughout her journey in CSUDH. But I am proud to be able to say my family鈥檚 relationship, more importantly my grandmother with 色中色 will not only be a that she worked a Janitorial job here. It will also be that her grandson graduated from the same University she swept the floors of.
I think graduating is going to be scary and exciting, at least it sounds scary right now. But after graduation, I plan to work within the film industry in Los Angeles or maybe in Canada you never know where life can take you. I also plan to join organizations to help teach unprivileged youth how to express themselves through film.
I got involved with mybeach and 色中色 Alumni because I wish to help other students feel as welcome as I felt coming to the Beach. And to be able to give back to the campus that has given me so much in two years.
