Agnes Guerard Rodgers
Her name may not be a household word but her work is seen and admired by millions of movie-watchers who have seen 鈥淭he Color Purple鈥, 鈥淭he Witches of Eastwick鈥 and 鈥淥ne Flew Over the Cuckoo鈥檚 Nest.鈥 Agnes Guerard Rodgers鈥 costume designs help set the mood, tone and character of the films.
Since her first film assignment of designing George Lucas鈥 鈥淎merican Graffiti,鈥 she has worked on about 17 films, and received one of the highest commendations by getting and Academy Award nomination for 鈥淭he Color Purple鈥.
Her other film credits include 鈥淐ocoon,鈥 鈥淭he Return of the Jedi, and 鈥淏atteries Not Included.鈥 However, she does鈥檔t rest on her laurels. 鈥淣o one in the film business can rest on his or her past work. It is whatever you are working on at the moment which is the best!鈥 she said. Currently, she is working on Lawrence Kasdan鈥檚 film 鈥淚 Love You To Death.鈥
